With the blockbuster success of his 1983 debut, Texas Flood, recorded as a demo with his band, Double Trouble, electric blues guitarist and singer/songwriter Stevie Ray Vaughan bridged the gap between the blues and rock’ n’ roll to achieve instant stardom. Mesmerizing audiences with a ferocious style that combined Texas and Chicago blues, the Dallas-native sparked the decade’s blues resurgence while paying tribute to some of its greatest architects, from Albert King to Jimi Hendrix. In 2013, an expanded 30th anniversary edition of the landmark debut album was released.
