In 1960, she signed with Chess Records where her career took off with chart toppers like “Trust In Me” and “At Last,” establishing her as Chess’s first major female star. Her 1964 Etta James Rocks the House is among her finest live recordings. In 2003, after receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she released Rage to Survive: The Etta James Story.
